descrição: scorpions é uma banda que se formou em hanôver, fundada em 1965 pelo guitarrista da banda, rudolf schenker. foi a primeira banda de hard rock fundada na alemanha. no início, a banda chamava-se 'nameless' e passou para 'scorpions' no final de 1969. o primeiro álbum, 'lonesome crow' de 1972. michael schenker deixou a banda no ano seguinte e uli jon roth substituiu-o como guitarrista e gravador de 4 áluns da banda, todos em anos diferentes. uli jon roth saiu da banda após o álbum ao vivo, 'tokyo tapes' de 1978. depois da sua saída, entrou matthias jabs para ser guitarrista. após o lançamento de mais singles e discos, a banda teve um sucesso á escala mundial. na década seguinte, dois dos seus álbuns, 'crazy world' e 'face the heat' levantou-os á categoria da banda alemã de maior sucesso, embora tenham passado por saídas de 2 membros, herman rarebell e francis buchholz. eles foram capazes de mudar o seu som com o lançamento de outros álbuns, com uma música mais suave e um tom renovado na carreira. ao longo de 48 anos de carreira lançaram dezenas de álbuns ao vivo, compilações e alguns dvd's e receberam vários prémios, o que os torna na banda alemã de hard rock mais bem sucedida. já venderam entre 1000000 a 1600000 de cópias em todo o mundo.
